About me

Renzo Quaglieri
I’m a Classical Music enthusiast.
With this blog I want to share with you stories, anecdotes, beatiful music pieces that deserve to be discovered.

I’ve been a classical music addicted since forever. When I was 10 I literally worn out a vinyl, Johann Strauss waltzes, and that was only the beginning of my love for classical.
Of course I play an instrument, I have a degree in clarinet. I love it for its warm sound and great expressivity possibilities.

In the last years my interest in classical music history kept growing constantly. I’m not a professional performer, I’m a software engineer in automotive industry. Every day I kept walking into the office, and bother my colleagues (how patient they are!) about music facts. Things that happened in the past, usually related to composers, that hit me for some reason, was it a fun fact or a spark of genius. And then the turning point: it was a good idea for a blog!

This blog is about classical music. Its focus is on history of composers and compositions. Facts, behind the scenes, fun stories. Wonders about music and how it was created. The wonder as a starting point to go deeper in comprehension of the technical details and the history background of the best classical music.
